Dorade vents

On my initial sailing shakedown (after extensive wiring work) I did a sail around the LA harbor area. This was some time ago but that day the trim line for the foresail wrapped one of my dorade vents and sent it overboard and to the bottom of the harbor. It didnt take long for me to find some replacements but since they are expensive I elected to get some used ones. Continue reading

Last moment prep and enjoying the boat

Today was spent getting some last min repairs handled and some things adjusted because tomorrow I plan to take Caroline out for a shake down. Tomorrow is likely to be one hell of a shake down since the forecast is saying there will be up to 6 foot swells by 3 pm. Never the less it shouldn’t be anything a 14 ton vessel cant handle.
